Comfort Inn Bay City - Riverfront

This place had the most accommodating and friendliest staff! We had to find a last minute booking past midnight due to a failed reservation at a different hotel, this hotel saved us when we had nowhere else to go. Brian assisted us so kindly over the phone, and was so thoughtful even to the moment we arrived and he made sure our rooms were okay and all our needs were met. We also met Marci who was always so lovely and welcoming to us during our breakfasts, that we always felt like we were "home" and always had a friend we could turn to if we ever needed anything. Even though this hotel ended up being a lot farther than where we had hoped to stay, we really enjoyed our stay here because of their lovely staff!

I come here often, Noelle is always so kind, making sure every guest has everything they need. The rooms are always clean and comfortable thanks to Amy and her crew, and Dominick is always so helpful. They all have such amazing personalities. Thank you for always making my time here such an enjoyable experience!

My mother's flight was canceled at the last minute and comfort in of Bay City came through for me. I'm very thankful.

This is the best Hotel in Bay City. Friendly staff, amazing breakfast, clean rooms. Great location right near the water! Highly recommended! Budget friendly compared to high end places! Oh and did I mention HEATED POOL!!

We found the Comfort Inn as we were driving along the Coastal Trail/Lake Erie and needed a place to stay. We were greeted shortly upon arrival and the young lady who checked us in was pleasant and engaging. There was an issue with our first room (had a strong sewer gas smell) so when we let the desk attendant know, she apologized and promptly moved us to a different room. The room smelled fresh, was clean and the beds were comfortable. The towels are large and fluffy. The breakfast had a number of good choices including waffles, eggs and sausage. We did not try the pool as we decided to walk to a nearby restaurant and got back a little later. We didn't see any signs for the fitness room. It wasn't perfect, but I'm giving 5 stars because you can see they are trying to make updates and keep things clean.

We came from out of state for a funeral and stayed here. Staff went above and beyond for us, they were all very caring and friendly. Breakfast was great and our 2 year old loved the waffles so much we called to find out what brand they used after we got home. The hotel was very clean, beds comfortable, and the pool was amazing. Highly recommend staying here.

Overall most everything was good. Upon arriving the gal running the desk was super nice, and the gentleman checking out was also very nice. The breakfast was really good, better than most hotels. There was sausage, egg omlets, potatoes, cereal, yogurts, muffins, waffles, milk, juice and coffee. And the lady running the breakfast area was super sweet. Staff were all very friendly. The pool area was very enjoyable, nice set up with lounge chairs and umbrellas. Water was pretty warm which was wonderful..Its close bye to bakery's and restaurants..The only big complaint we have is when we first walked into our room after checking in is the whole room smelt like bad BO. They really should spray something fresh scented to cover the smell or put air fresheners in the room..I know it was super hot outside but it's a big turn off when you walk in and have a very unclean smell..We had to open the window and turn on the bathroom fan which didn't work well. Some ppl are going to look for issues..it's a nice stay but there does need some updates done which they are in the process of remodeling the elevator. WiFi does run slow as well. But I will still give it 5 stars as the friendly staff, breakfast and pool area were great!

Even though they dont got a hot tub everything else was amazing beds were comfy great service location is right next to a river food is great 10 out of 10 would stay again
